Bushmanspad Estate, a top-quality red wine project situated high on the slopes of the spectacular Langeberg mountains in the Western Cape of South Africa, offering high class wine and accommodation. The name of the farm relates to the time when the Bushmen came over the mountains to do trading in the valley. The old trail and the kloof in the rocks above the waterdam still shows records of those days. Bushmanspad has proven over the years that the terroir creates award winning wines. The Robertson valley is blessed with rich alluvial soil, consistent summer temperatures, low annual rainfall and light humidity. A balanced palate with a variety of citrus and tropical fruit that lingers and supported by a beautiful refreshing acidity. An everyday Sauvignon Blanc wine with flavours of tropical and citrus fruit complemented by a crisp refreshing acidity. Meduim bodied and well balanced with notes of berry fruits complemented by soft tannins. A well integrated and lingering Malbec with pronounced flavours of berry fruits and cassis nuances, complimented by silky smooth tannins and a juicy palate. Complex palate with layers of dark and red berry flavours, mocha and hints of liquorice supported by soft juicy tannin structure. An elegant and balanced blend with complex layers of ripe dark and red berry fruit with hints of liquorice and mocha all perfectly complimented by soft juicy tannins and well integrated oak. Red fruit and dark chocolate with a medium body and well integrated tannins. An elegant and well balanced Shiraz with darkly spiced berries, sweet red fruit and subtly spicy flavours complimented by soft juicy tannins. Full bodied with ripe dark berry, plum and hints of spice flavours supported with soft smooth tannins and a lingering finish. A beautifully balanced Cabernet Franc with concentrated dark and red berry fruit with hints of plum and spice all being complimented by a soft juicy palate. Intense berry fruits with whiffs of liquorice and cassis nuances. Full bodied and well balanced with notes of berry and liquorice, complemented by a beautiful tannin structure. A well integrated and lingering Cabernet with pronounced flavours of berry fruits, liquorice and cassis nuances, complimented by silky smooth tannins and a full juicy palate. Full bodied with ripe dark berry and sweet cinnamon spice flavours, complemented by the complexity of the oak. A well integrated blend with a good balance between ripe dark berries, sweet cinnamon spice and white pepper nuisance creates an intrigued palate complemented with fair amounts of oak.
